Welcome to FinPilot

People think they spend about $86 a month on subscriptions. The real average is $219, across roughly 8 active services — and around $252 a year goes to things never opened. Subscriptions creep in one signup at a time, each too small to notice, and none of them ever get cancelled. Most trackers only show you a list — FinPilot judges it, so you know exactly what to drop.

1. Add a subscription — name, cost and next billing date take about 15 seconds. Usage details are optional but sharpen the verdict.
2. Get a verdict — a rules engine scores every entry on the server. Daily use + high satisfaction = Keep. Rarely used or time-wasting = Cancel. Mixed signals = Test 30 days.
3. Act on the report — cancel the waste using the built-in guides, then export as CSV, JSON or PDF.

• Keep Used daily or weekly, satisfaction 4–5, saves real time. Worth every cent.
• Cancel Rarely or never used, satisfaction 1–2, or actively wastes time. Stop paying.
• Test 30d Mixed signals. Use it deliberately for 30 days, then re-score.

Verdicts recalculate automatically whenever you edit a subscription. You can override any of them manually on the Savings Report.

Cancelling is the hard part, so FinPilot ships instructions for 45+ merchants — direct cancellation links, phone numbers and step-by-step guidance. Anything flagged Cancel also gets a pre-written cancellation email you can copy and send. Click any subscription to open it.

Log what you were actually charged each month and FinPilot draws a 6-month chart on the subscription detail view. When a price jumps, the increase is flagged — so a quiet $2 rise doesn't slip past you for a year.

Categories are yours — every account gets its own set, so renaming or removing one never affects anyone else. On the Add Subscription page use + New to create one, or Manage to rename and delete. Renaming updates every subscription using it automatically, and a category can only be deleted once it's empty. Restore defaults brings back any you removed.

FinPilot is invite-only while in early access. Your password is hashed with bcrypt and never stored in readable form. For security your session expires after 15 minutes of inactivity — just sign in again. Use the power icon in the top bar to sign out.

Your subscriptions are stored in your own account on the FinPilot server, isolated from every other user — no one else can read your data. It is never sold or shared.

You can export everything at any time from Export / Download (CSV, JSON or PDF). FinPilot does not connect to your bank or email — every entry is one you added yourself.

The chat bubble in the bottom-right answers questions from your real numbers — what to cancel, total spend, what's due this week, or how any page works. It runs on built-in logic by default: free, instant, no API key. Connect a provider under Settings → AI / LLM / API for richer phrasing over the same real figures.
